Promoting, Presenting

Virginia Sindelar has inspired her peers, serious young musicians building professional careers, community leaders, and music students over the decades with an unceasing desire to make music available to others while also building community.

As founder and Artistic Director of the Scarborough Chamber Players, Ms. Sindelar commissioned new works, presented classical, historic and multi-cultural series on stage and in public schools.

She also produced and hosted over 20 performing arts programs for Continental Cablevision of Cambridge, MA featuring living composers, young artists, and culturally diverse performances of music and dance.  The programs were later distributed across the country.

In 1993 and 1994 respectively, Virginia served as artistic coordinator for the city of Quincy, MA first ‘First Night’, ‘First Rock’ offering New Year’s Eve entertainment for local teens, and the Randolph Peace Committee “Peace Begins with Me” celebrating community diversity.

From 1990 to 1994, Virginia managed two concert series at the Church of the Presidents in Quincy, MA, featuring recognized classical and multicultural musicians including Irish step dance and gospel.

Virginia has also served as a consultant to other non-profit organizations seeking to promote and present the performing arts.

Since 2018, Virginia has hosted a monthly concert series, Music at the Farm in Northeast Rhode Island at her historical homestead farm.  She was also Executive Director of the Grace Note Farm Music Festival which presented large ensembles, four concerts in two weekends, mentoring artist-in-residence violinist David Bernat as Artistic Director from 2020 to 2023.
