The New England Flute Duo

Playing Together

Virginia and her college student Sarah Harrison Smongeski teamed up to enjoy and share music from the flute duo repertoire.  

Sarah notes:  Everything that I accomplished in my professional life links back to my studies with Virginia.  She taught me to embrace strength and assertiveness — as a flute player on stage and as a person.

Studio Lessons

As artist/teacher, Ms. Sindelar works with students who are passionate in their pursuit of excellence.   Virginia continues to perform with students to make playing fun and less stressful.

Master Classes

In addition to one-on-one studio teaching, Ms. Sindelar has taught master classes at 

  • The University of Lowell; 
  • Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine;
  • Tanglewood Institute;
  • Anchorage, Alaska. and at 
  • Grace Note Farm, Rhode Island.
