Grace Note Farm… and Virginia Sindelar is putting Pascoag on the map with both her lodgings and her Music at The Farm series all set at her 1700’s horse farm.

Praised by the Rhode Island Council of the Arts, “Music at the Farm is the only concert series in Rhode Island of its kind. The combination of nature, a historic farm and music creates a unique atmosphere.”

'A Sanctuary of Peace'

Grace Note Farm is a favorite destination of mine, as a classical music lover — and it’s a favorite of my adult children for a different reason: They now know exactly what to give me each year for Christmas. Tickets. I’ve been to Grace Note when gardens were in full bloom, I’ve been there as snow swept past kitchen windows. But always, I have been heartened and enchanted by this sanctuary of peace.

About Music at the Farm

The mission of Music at The Farm concerts is to promote young, brilliant, passionate artists who have already performed outside the US, trained at top music schools, and shown the highest dedication.

Music at the Farm is the result of a vision for nurturing young professional musicians from New England and New York who are seeking to build a career as soloist or chamber musician.

Founded by Virginia Sindelar, the concert series is now in its eighth season.  Each month, soloists are featured in concert from among an Artists in Residence and other guests to present concerts in the great room at Grace Note Farm.

Violnist Lun Li, one of the artists-in-residence at Grace Note Farm.  Lun Li is presented courtesy of Young Concert Artists New York.

Yunwen Chen, Cellist and  Artist-In-Residence at Grace Note Farm.  Yunwen holds degrees from Eastman School of Music and New England Conservatory,
and won a silver prize at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.

About the Farm

The original homestead farm of Pascoag, Rhode Island dates from the 1700’s.  In 1994, Virginia relocated from the Boston area, first preserving and fashioning the homestead into a horse farm.  In 2001, she expanded the farm to include a Bed & Breakfast; and in 2018, initiated the Music at the Farm Concert Series.

About the Artists

Currently, Artists in Residence include piano, violin, cello, double bass, soprano and mezzo soprano, clarinet, flute and string trio.

Concerts

Vocal, instrumental and chamber ensemble concerts are scheduled once each  month at 2pm on the second Sunday of the month. Check  gracenotefarmweb.com for concert schedule.
